In accordance with Section 49 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), the Richards Bay IDZ Board of Directors is the Accounting Authority of the organisation and is represented by the following individuals:

The RBIDZ Board of Directors consists of nine (9) board members including the Chairman. All the Directors, with the exception of the RBIDZ CEO, are non-executive directors. The Directors are appointed by the shareholders, five (5) being appointed by Ithala Development Finance Corporation Limited and four (4) by the City of uMhlathuze. As per PFMA and King II recommendations the Board is supported by Committees. These are:

  • Remuneration and HR Committee;
  • Investment Committee; and
  • Audit and Risk Management Committee.
